Who We Are

He then transferred this knowledge to fruit trees and at twenty he started his own company, spending the next eighteen years growing fruit trees and grafting for orchards and farmers throughout the United States. In 2005, he decided to move to Virginia.  A few years later, he met Mary and when they realized their relationship was going to become a permanant thing, they decided to go into business together.

Mary Stickley-Godinez has degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Design. Raul and Mary began Countryside Farm and Nurseries, Inc. in 2010 and now grow many varieties of fruit trees for the wholesale trade. They also graft and bud fruit trees for other orchards and nurseries.  In addition they raise fruit and vegetables for wholesale, they provide consultations, and Mary teaches, lectures, and writes on many garden subjects.
